The Firm
A well-established and highly regarded regional law firm in Devon is seeking a Private Client Solicitor to join its growing team. The firm has a long-standing reputation for delivering clear, client-focused legal advice to individuals, families, and local businesses, with a strong emphasis on quality service and community presence.

The practice offers a broad range of legal services, including wills, trusts, probate, estate administration, and powers of attorney, and prides itself on providing a professional yet approachable service to its clients.

The Role
You will join an established Private Client team, managing your own caseload while supporting senior members on more complex matters. The role offers a varied workload and the opportunity to build strong client relationships within a supportive and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities
• Managing a caseload of private client matters, including:
o Wills and estate planning
o Probate and estate administration
o Trusts and tax planning
o Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs)
• Providing clear, practical, and empathetic legal advice to clients
• Drafting legal documentation and correspondence
• Building and maintaining long-term client relationships
• Supporting business development and networking initiatives

Candidate Requirements
• Qualified Solicitor (NQ–5+ PQE considered) or equivalent experience
• Strong background in private client work (wills, probate, trusts)
• Ability to manage a varied caseload independently
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• A genuine interest in building a long-term career within private client law
