THE ROLE:
The firm is seeking an experienced Solicitor to join its leading national cross-sector Public Procurement team. In this role, you will provide specialist support and advice on public procurement law to clients across both the public and private sectors. You will be involved in all aspects of procurement matters, acting for both contracting authorities and suppliers.

Key responsibilities will include drafting and advising on procurement documentation throughout the procurement lifecycle, from contract notices and tender documentation to evaluation strategies, standstill communications, and contract awards. You will also advise on procurement strategies, deliver broader procurement advisory work, and provide guidance on procurement challenges, disputes, and decision-making processes.

In addition, you will play an active role in business development activities, helping to strengthen and expand client relationships, while also mentoring and supervising junior team members and supporting their professional development.

THE CANDIDATE:
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' PQE and proven experience in public procurement law. You will be confident managing your own caseload and client relationships, with the ability to take ownership of matters and contribute to the continued growth of the practice. Strong commercial awareness, excellent legal and analytical skills, and a sound understanding of the public sector are essential, together with a genuine interest in and enthusiasm for public procurement work. Experience in marketing and business development activities is highly desirable, as is the ability to represent the firm through networking, client engagement, and public speaking opportunities.

THE FIRM:
Ranked among the UK's top 50 law firms, this firm offers a highly competitive salary and an excellent benefits package. Benefits include a performance-related staff bonus scheme, a generous pension contribution, five weeks' annual leave with the flexibility to buy or sell an additional week's leave each year, enhanced family-forming leave and pay, income protection after two years' service, life assurance, and access to a comprehensive employee assistance programme. This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading firm that is committed to supporting the wellbeing, development, and long-term success of its people.
