JOB TITLE: Data Protection Solicitor
PQE: 2-6 PQE
LOCATION: Oxfordshire
SALARY: £70,000 - £90,000 DOE
THE ROLE:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Data Protection Solicitor to join a nationally recognised team advising clients on a broad range of contentious and advisory data protection matters.
You will work closely with clients on complex and often sensitive issues relating to GDPR compliance, Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs), Freedom of Information requests, data breaches, regulatory investigations and information governance matters. The role will also involve advising on third-party data requests, supporting responses to ICO investigations, assisting with tribunal proceedings and advising organisations on the handling of personal data within internal processes and investigations.
This is a varied role offering exposure to high-profile and technically challenging work within a supportive and collaborative environment.
THE CANDIDATE:
Applications are welcomed from Solicitors with between 2 and 6 years' PQE who have gained experience advising on data protection, privacy and information governance matters.
You will have strong working knowledge of GDPR and the Data Protection Act, together with practical experience handling DSARs, data breaches and wider compliance issues. Experience of advising on contentious data protection matters, ICO investigations, FOIA requests or regulatory enquiries would be advantageous.
The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to provide pragmatic, commercial advice to clients facing challenging situations.
THE FIRM:
This is an excellent opportunity to join a market-leading team working at the forefront of an increasingly important and evolving area of law. You will benefit from exposure to high-quality work, genuine career progression opportunities and a supportive culture that encourages professional development.
The firm offers flexible hybrid working, an excellent benefits package and the opportunity to work alongside recognised specialists in the field.
PACKAGE:
£70,000 - £90,000 DOE, bonus, comprehensive benefits package, hybrid working and excellent long-term career prospects.
