An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Solicitor or Barrister with experience in inquests to join the specialist Healthcare team of a leading national law firm in Liverpool.

This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside recognised healthcare specialists, advising organisations across the health and social care sector on complex, sensitive and often high-profile matters. You'll enjoy a varied caseload, genuine opportunities for professional development and the chance to build your expertise within one of the UK's most respected healthcare law teams.

The Role

Working as part of a collaborative and supportive team, you will advise clients across the healthcare sector on a broad range of public law and healthcare matters, with a particular focus on inquests and advocacy.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Advising clients on all aspects of inquest proceedings, including advocacy.
    • Providing guidance on public law matters, including governance, constitutional issues, judicial review, human rights, and public and patient consultation.
    • Assisting with Court of Protection matters where required.
    • Building and maintaining strong client relationships by delivering practical, commercially focused advice.
    • Identifying opportunities to develop new services and contribute to the continued growth of the healthcare practice.
    • Working closely with colleagues across the wider healthcare team on complex and multidisciplinary matters.

The Candidate

Applications are welcomed from qualified Solicitors and Barristers who can demonstrate:

  • At least 12 months' experience handling inquest matters.
    • Strong advocacy and communication skills.
    • A commitment to delivering exceptional client service.
    • The ability to build trusted relationships with clients and colleagues.
    • Experience within the healthcare sector and/or Court of Protection matters would be advantageous but is not essential.
    • A proactive, collaborative approach with an interest in business development and practice growth.

The Opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity to join an award-winning national law firm with an outstanding reputation in healthcare law. You'll work on high-quality and meaningful cases within a supportive environment that encourages professional development, collaboration and long-term career progression.

The firm is committed to creating a positive working culture, offering flexible and hybrid working, an excellent benefits package and a genuine commitment to helping its people achieve a healthy work-life balance.
