Job Description
Family Solicitor, 5+ Years PQE, Devon, £60,000+ (DOE) – We are looking for an experienced Family Solicitor to join an established and busy Family Law team. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident and personable lawyer who enjoys providing high-quality legal advice, developing client relationships and contributing to the continued success of a department. REF:5420.
THE ROLE:
• You will have the opportunity to take ownership of a varied caseload of privately funded family matters, working with clients from the initial instruction through to resolution.
• The role would suit someone who combines strong technical expertise with a genuinely client-focused approach.
• Advising and representing private clients across a broad range of family law matters, including divorce, financial settlements, private children work and cohabitation agreements.
• Managing your own caseload effectively, ensuring matters progress efficiently and to a high standard.
• Developing lasting relationships with clients and professional contacts, helping to strengthen the department’s reputation and profile.
• Sharing your knowledge and experience with junior colleagues and supporting their professional development.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
• Applications are sought from Family Solicitors with a minimum of 5 Years PQE.
• A strong understanding of financial remedy and private children work, including experience dealing with more complex matters.
• Excellent client-care and communication skills, with the ability to explain complicated issues clearly and sensitively.
• A professional and commercially minded approach to managing client relationships and caseloads.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team.
