Pertemps are currently recruiting for Production Operatives to join a busy client, based in Reading.
Rota: Monday to Friday, 08:30 -16:30 Shift
We are looking for Production Operatives (Trimming) to support the finishing of elastomeric components, used in aerospace anti-vibration mounts. This is a precision-based role requiring a high level of attention to detail, consistency, and care in handling delicate parts in line with AS9100 quality standards.

Key Responsibilities for a successful Production Operative:
- Trim elastomeric (rubber-based) components to defined specifications using hand tools and trimming equipment
- Remove flash and excess material without damaging part geometry or surface integrity
- Work to engineering drawings, visual standards, and work instructions
- Carry out 100% visual inspection of parts during and after trimming
- Identify and segregate non-conforming parts in line with quality procedures
- Maintain traceability and correct part identification at all times
- Follow strict cleanliness and handling requirements for aerospace components
- Accurately complete production and quality documentation
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience in precision manufacturing, assembly, or finishing work
- Strong manual dexterity and ability to handle small/delicate components
- Excellent attention to detail and visual accuracy
- Ability to follow written instructions and technical drawings
- Good understanding of quality standards and working to tight tolerances
- Reliable, consistent, and able to maintain focus on repetitive tasks
Desirable Experience
- Experience working with rubber, elastomers, or composite materials
- Background in aerospace, automotive, or medical manufacturing
- Familiarity with AS9100 / ISO9001 environments
- Experience using trimming knives, scalpels, or fine hand tools
