I am currently working on behalf of a primary school in North Newcastle who are looking to find a teaching assistant to cover Monday to Friday up until the end of the Autumn term. The position would initially be working 4 mornings and one full day on a wednesday and would predominantly be in early years (some Key Stage 1 support may be needed from time to time). There may also be times when you will be asked to stay and work the full day so flexibility is a must.
The school are keen to find the right person and you will be expected to meet a member of the senior leadership team for a brief, informal interview to make sure you have the right attitude etc.
To be considered for the role you must ALL of the following criteria:
-Qualified to level 3 (minimum) in supporting learning and education in schools (or equivalent)
-You must have a clear DBS (Or be willing to apply for one) preferably on the online update system
-Your work ethic must exemplary and you must come in every day looking to have a postive ifluenece on your pupils and colleagues.
-Flexibility around shift patterns is highly desirable as these could change week on week depending on the schools needs
-We must be able to obtain references for you last 2 years of employment (at least 1 of which MUST be school/nursery based)
