Learning Support Assistant - Newcastle
The Education Network is currently working in partnership with a school in Newcastle in search of a Learning Support Assistant to join their team on a full-time, temporary basis. The role is to commence in September 2019 and has an end date of December 2019, however there is scope for the successful candidate to be extended or permanently appointed.
The role will involve supporting students with English as an Additional Language, so any experience in this area, such as ESOL support/tutoring, would be advantageous.
In order to be successful in your application, you must be confident and have some experience of supporting children to achieve their learning goals within a school setting, preferably with the secondary school age group (11-18).
Requirements for this role:
•Experience in the classroom
•Have strong interpersonal skills in order to effectively communicate with staff and students.
•Have excellent organisational and time management skills.
•At least two years of work history/education which can be referenced.
•A valid DBS certificate or the willingness to apply for one.
