This challenging and highly rewarding role offers a flexible approach to working hours and, as such, is ideal for experienced Tutors / Teachers (Maths and English) looking to work on a part-time basis to fit around other commitments.
Our Tutors work on a one to one basis with vulnerable, disadvantaged or disengaged children. As the successful candidate, your role will involve the delivery of sessions in Maths and English, the length and regularity of which will be established on a case-by-case basis. Crucially, you will work hard to engage your learners through the development of strong and trusting relationships. This will in turn enable you to provide creative and tailored sessions, allowing each student to access a high-quality of education outside of their mainstream education. This is a peripatetic role, with locations agreed prior to booking so own transport is essential.
Person Specification - The Essentials:
- A relevant teaching qualification, which can include QTS, QTLS, PTLLS, CTLLS, DTLLS
- Recent experience (within the last 2 years) in delivering Teaching / Tutoring sessions to students in Key Stages 3-4
- Driving Licence and access to own transport
- Strong subject knowledge in both Maths and English
