Key Responsibilities
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:
- Provide one-to-one and small-group support to help students engage with their learning.
- Assist teachers with classroom activities and learning tasks.
- Support students with special educational needs (SEN) and additional learning needs.
- Encourage positive behaviour, participation and confidence in the classroom.
- Help create a supportive, inclusive learning environment where every student has the opportunity to succeed.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to meet students' individual needs.
We are looking for someone who has:
- Recent experience working with young people - must within the past two years.
- A patient, caring and positive approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- The ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
- A genuine passion for education and supporting young people's development.
- An enhanced DBS check, or a willingness to complete the required checks with our support.
- Pay: £95–£115 per day, depending on qualifications and experience.
- Location: Newcastle.
- Working pattern: Full-time.
- Contract: Ongoing on a long term basis.
- Start date: ASAP.
