UK Planning Transport Manager

We are looking for an experienced UK Planning Transport Manager to join our National client on a permanent basis.

Mon to Fri working
9am-5pm with flexibility of hours whilst training (up to 6 months)
Up to £40k depending on experience

Must have:

• Experience in a Supply Chain division - ideally within retail
• UK Transport & Planning experience
• Customer relationship management skills - face to face
• People Management experience
• Ability to set targets and be accountable
• Financial exposure

• Paragon knowledge

Role Purpose:
• To manage the Planning team within the Control Tower providing a service for the UK Operation
• Lead the UK Planning team with the operational delivery of service KPIs and Financial results
• Accountable for Engagement, Employee development and Succession planning across the UK Planning team
• Responsible for the relationship with transport and warehouse sites across UK and with key stakeholders
•  Responsible for carrier management, engagement and regular reviews of performance

Key Tasks
•  Responsible for the delivery of service and operational excellence in the UK Network business
•  To establish and continue the development of strong two-way relationships within the UK Network
•  Responsible for the financial performance of the UK Network business.
•  Responsible for the delivery of process and continuous improvement activities within the UK operation

Key Accountabilities include - delivery of initiatives and savings, achievement of contractual KPIs ensuring partners and hauliers are managed to agreed SLA's, customer relationship - measured against Customer survey results, H&S, Engagement, Carrier Management, LP compliance, Employee development and Succession Planning across the UK Planning team.
