The Role
- Lead a 2-person field team as the senior engineer on-site
- Carry out installation, maintenance and repair work on wastewater treatment facilities
- Take ownership of jobs from start to completion, ensuring high standards and efficiency
- Work closely with an experienced engineer
- Operate across multiple sites, with a strong focus on the utilities / wastewater sector
- Occasional working away (typically 3–4 days per week at times, with some longer stints during peak periods
- 10+ years’ experience as a Field Service Engineer or similar
- Strong mechanical “hands-on” background
- Confident fault-finding and problem-solving ability in the field
- Experience with:
- Lifting & cranage operations
- Working at height
- Confined spaces
- Comfortable working in wastewater / utilities environments (majority of work)
- Engineering qualification (apprenticeship / NVQ / equivalent) desirable
- Step into a lead engineer position with real responsibility
