Our logistics client in Tilbrook, Milton Keynes require an FLT Reach Driver for their back shift. This FLT Driver will be vital in ensuring that all stock is safely loaded and stored in the appropriate bays with corresponding paperwork completed. The product is palletised and is generally heavy and large, tall and wide, worth circa £18,000.
The shift is Monday to Friday, 14.00-22.00, plus overtime, when you would start at 12noon, and the occasional Saturday. You would be working as part of an established team on their site in Milton Keynes as a Reach Forklift Truck Driver. The position pays £9.45 per hour plus a Monthly Late Shift Bonus. Monthly Performance Bonuses are also paid to all employees dependent on there being no damage caused to stock that month by any driver. You will be eligible for both bonuses after the initial three month probation period.
Your FLT Certificate must be ITSSAR, RTITB or AITT accredited, showing the (refresher) training as completed within the last three years. You must be confident and competent to drive MHE with a load which can be heavy, tall, wide and sometimes has opened returned packaging. The stock can be worth £18k per pallet. Some basic computer work is involved to log the products. Please be aware that the job does involve some manual work too, not only MHE driving.
The company operate under strict insurance regulations due to the value, size and weight of the product and any FLT driver employed must have a minimum of 6 months recent FLT Reach driving experience.
You will be responsible for:
Loading and unloading high-value goods
Manual handling, as dictated by the warehouse requirements
Stacking the pallets in a safe and organised manner
Completing paperwork and checking stock delivered
Maintaining high levels of Health and Safety standards
Achieving the targets and job standards set out by the Shift Manager
Performing any reasonable request by the Shift Manager
You will require:
An accredited FLT Reach licence, attained within the last three years
Ability to drive MHE and perform manual handling safely
Excellent numeracy and literacy skills
Ability to work under pressure
Ability to work as part of the team
Good attention to detail
The site has ample bike and car parking on a secure site and has easy access to both bus routes and the train station.
