One of the largest and most experienced Privacy and Cybersecurity legal firms in the world and a market leader is looking for a Privacy and Cybersecurity Associate / Data Protection Lawyer to join their team on a permanent basis.

The firm assists clients with all of their compliance and risk management challenges, drafting policies and providing advice on legal issues, risk management strategies, and strategic governance. With their global reach, they are able to provide a 24-hour global privacy hotline to respond to data emergencies. Which enables them to play an important role in the development of public policy regarding the future regulation of privacy. Additionally, they provide the latest privacy and data protection legal developments and trends to their clients.


The successful candidate will have outstanding technical skills in the area of data protection law, together with the ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues and work well in a team. You will also benefit from between one to two years post qualification specialist experience (or equivalent experience) in this area of law and experience of the financial services sector.

Technical Ability:

Specialisation in European data protection law, including deep understanding of its concepts, principles, obligations and rights, along with a working knowledge of other practice areas

Ability to interpret data protection law in order to provide strategic and practical advice across clients and sectors

Project management skills, ensuring timely delivery to high quality standards

Awareness of legal developments affecting data protection law in the UK, Europe and internationally

Client Focus

Has good working relationships with clients

Has a good understanding of client, the sector and the associated risks and opportunities.

Actively works to develop and strengthen new client relationships

Team Work and Interpersonal Skills
