Maintenance Operative
Location: London (Within the M25)
Salary: £35,000 + Company Vehicle & Tools
Hours: Full Time, 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend work if required)

Are you a skilled Maintenance Operative looking for a varied, hands-on role where no two days are the same?
We are looking for an experienced and reliable Maintenance Operative to support a portfolio of sites across London. This is a field-based role offering autonomy, variety, and the opportunity to utilise a broad range of trade skills.

The Role
You will be responsible for delivering a high-quality maintenance and repair service across multiple locations. This is a multi-skilled role, requiring a strong background in plumbing alongside general maintenance skills.
You will work largely independently, so confidence in your ability and a proactive approach are key.

Key Responsibilities
Plumbing (Core Focus):
  • Repair minor leaks on hot and cold pipework
    • Replace taps and washers
    • Clear internal waste pipe blockages
    • Carry out minor tiling and sanitary ware repairs

General Maintenance:

Carpentry
  • Adjust and rehang doors
    • Fit locks and door mechanisms
    • Install shelving and repair cabinets

Painting & Decorating
  • Carry out touch-up work and general decorating
    • Paint floors, bollards and equipment

Sheet Metalwork
  • Repair storage units and trolleys
    • Fit locks, signage and protective fittings
    • Carry out minor damage repairs

Electrical (Basic)
  • Replace lamps and starters in office and storage areas
    • Complete all tasks safely, efficiently, and to a high standard
    • Maintain accurate records and provide excellent service on-site

What We’re Looking For
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar maintenance role
    • Strong plumbing experience (essential)
    • Multi-skilled across general maintenance disciplines
    • Full UK driving licence (essential)
    • Confident working independently across multiple sites
    • Good communication and customer-facing skills

    • Good organisation and time management
    • Ability to prioritise and manage workload effectively
    • Health and safety awareness, including safe use of tools and equipment
    • Flexible, reliable and proactive approach
