Business Development Manager – Apprenticeships and Training Sector
Location: Leeds City Centre (Hybrid – 2 days per week in the office)
Hours: Full‑time, 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £30,000 – £35,000
OTE: £15,000 – £17,500

We are recruiting on behalf of a well‑established and growing training organisation delivering high‑quality apprenticeships, skills bootcamps and professional development programmes across the UK. This is an excellent opportunity for a Business Development professional with experience in apprenticeships or training to join a vibrant, high‑performing sales team based in Leeds City Centre, where collaboration, support and success go hand in hand.
The Role As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for generating new apprenticeship starts, building strong employer relationships, and achieving agreed activity and revenue targets. You’ll work closely with employers to understand their workforce needs and recommend training solutions that deliver genuine impact.

This is a consultative, new‑business‑focused sales role, combining proactive prospecting with account management and cross‑selling across a broad portfolio of training solutions. You’ll be supported by an experienced leadership team, with clear structures, realistic expectations and highly achievable targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Achieve agreed activity and billing targets within a supportive and structured sales environment
    • Generate apprenticeship starts through proactive outbound sales activity
    • Build and maintain strong employer relationships
    • Cross‑sell apprenticeship and training solutions where appropriate
    • Ensure all eligibility, onboarding and compliance processes are followed
    • Maintain accurate, high‑quality data within the CRM system
About You Essential experience and skills:
  • A proven track record of exceeding sales and revenue targets
    • A natural new‑business hunter with a strong appetite for prospecting
    • Experience within the apprenticeship or training sector is highly desirable, although related sectors will be considered
    • Confidence in telephone‑based business development and relationship building
    • Experience working with both new and existing B2B clients
    • A strong customer‑focused approach and genuine passion for sales
