Job Details:
- Role: HGV Class 2 Driver + Yard Operative duties when needed
- Location: Paddock Wood,Kent
- Pay Rate: £16.50 per hour PAYE via Pertemps - weekly pay
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00
- No weekends
- Type: Ongoing temp work with potential temp-to-perm opportunity
As an HGV Class 2 Driver, your role will include:
- Driving a Class 2 / Category C vehicle for local deliveries and collections
- Assisting in the yard when driving duties are quiet
- Helping to move pallets around the yard safely and efficiently
- Supporting the team with loading and unloading vehicles when required
- Carrying out vehicle checks and ensuring compliance with road safety regulations
- Working as part of a team to ensure smooth daily operations
This is a varied role ideal for a hands-on HGV Class 2 Driver who enjoys both driving and warehouse/yard involvement.
Requirements: To be considered for this HGV Class 2 Driver position, you must have:
- Valid HGV Class 2 / Category C licence
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- Previous experience as an HGV Class 2 Driver (min. 1 year)
- A positive, flexible and can-do attitude
- Willingness to support with yard duties and manual handling
- Good understanding of driver hours and regulations
