Pertemps are working with an established manufacturing business located in Alton who are looking for an experienced Stores Person to join their growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to join a growing and developing business.

Responsibilities as a Stores Person: 

• Receive and inspect incoming deliveries against purchase order and delivery notes 
  
  
• Accurately record deliveries in inventory system
  
  
• Organise and maintain stock location and conduct regular stock checks 
  
  
• Issue stock and materials to internal departments
  
  
• Pick, pack and prepare customer or supplier orders for dispatch 
  
  
• Arrange shipments with approved carriers
  
  
• Report stock shortages, damages or non conforming materials 
  
  

Requirements:

• Previous stores or logistics experience 
  
  
• Proficiency with ERP/ MRP systems.
  
  
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  
  
• Problem solving mindset with ability to work under pressure.
  
  
• Forklift experience is desirable 
  
  

 

The Stores person role:

• Based in Alton 
  
  
• Monday – Friday, 8am – 4.30pm
  
  
• £30,000 - £32,000 depending on experience
  
  
• 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays (increasing with length of service)
