Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a Night Shift Network Service Technician in the Thames Valley/Home Counties area. This is an exciting and varied customer-facing role where day to day you will be resolving customer network challenges with minimal disruption to customer supply. You will be meeting and helping different people every day, working on a variety of projects ensuring that the best service is given to our customers.

What you’ll be doing as the Night Network Service Technician:
  • Taking personal ownership of customer queries and responding to and resolving issues at their homes or places of work.
  • Working with contractors to do planned and unplanned tasks.
  • Investigating clean water networks to resolve poor performance including high or low pressure, leakage, metering queries, and loss of supply.
  • Helping control burst mains ensuring isolation to facilitate planned work, emergency repairs, and maintenance.

  • As the role involves driving daily, the ideal candidate will hold a full UK driving licence and be happy to drive between jobs.
What’s in it for you?
This is an exciting role and gives the successful person a great chance to make improvements and grow within the role.
  • Offering up to £43,000 per annum subject to your level on experience.
  • The standard working week starts at 8 pm and finishes at 6 am, Monday to Friday. However, the Team also work a standby working pattern on a five-six-week rotation basis.
  • A duty standby allowance is paid for participating in the standby roster, and in addition to this allowance, a call-out fee and overtime are paid for all out-of-hours work.
  • A company van will be provided within this position.
  • 24 days holiday per year increasing to 28 with the length of service. (Plus, bank holidays) 
  • Contributory pension.

  • Working hours: 45 hours per week.
