Warehouse Operative / Relief Driver (3.5T - 7.5T)

Location: High Wycombe
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, with flexibility as required
Salary: £29,120 to £31,200 dependent on experience 

Are you a hands-on, reliable individual who enjoys a varied role? We are recruiting for a Warehouse Operative / Relief Driver to join a busy and established specialist manufacturing and distribution business in High Wycombe. This is primarily a warehouse-based position, supporting the smooth running of stock, order preparation and dispatch operations. The successful candidate will also provide driving cover when required, operating 3.5T vehicles and, where appropriately licensed, a 7.5T vehicle.Candidates with experience driving 3.5T vans are encouraged to apply. A C1 licence and Driver CPC are advantageous but not essential.The RoleWorking as part of a friendly and supportive team, you will play a key role in ensuring customer orders are prepared accurately and delivered efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse Duties

• Pick, pack and prepare customer orders for dispatch and collection.
  
  
• Load and unload deliveries safely and efficiently.
  
  
• Move, organise and store stock within the warehouse.
  
  
• Maintain a clean, safe and well-organised working environment.
  
  
• Label parcels and pallets and prepare courier documentation.
  
  
• Assist with customer collections and basic warehouse administration.
  
  

Driving Duties (As Required)

• Provide delivery cover using 3.5T vans and, where licensed, a 7.5T vehicle.
  
  
• Deliver goods professionally and on time to customers.
  
  
• Complete delivery paperwork and proof of delivery records accurately.
  
  
• Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any defects.
  
  
• Comply with drivers' hours regulations and tachograph requirements when operating 7.5T vehicles.
  
  

Health & Safety

• Follow all warehouse and transport Health & Safety procedures.
  
  
• Adhere to safe manual handling practices and load security requirements.
  
  
• Contribute to a safe working environment for colleagues and customers.
  
  

What We're Looking For
Essential

• Full UK driving licence (Category B) with experience driving 3.5T vans.
  
  
• Previous warehouse, picking and packing, or delivery experience.
  
  
• Ability to undertake regular lifting, loading and handling of bulky items.
  
  
• Reliable and flexible approach with a positive team-focused attitude.
  
  
• Willingness to support different areas of the operation as required.
  
  

Desirable

• Category C1 (7.5T) licence.
  
  
• Valid Driver CPC qualification.
  
  
• Digital tachograph card.
  
  
• Counterbalance forklift licence.
  
  
• Experience completing multi-drop deliveries.
