HGV2 / 7.5 Tonne Driver | £17.51ph | Monday to Friday
Are you at a loose end until the New year? Are you looking for work? HAve you just been made redundant?
Pertemps South Midlands Driving Hub is recruiting an experienced HGV2 / 7.5 Tonne Drivers for a client based in Milton Keynes. This is initially a holiday cover contract running from 23rd November to 1st January, with the potential for ongoing work for the right driver. They are happy to accept drivers who just want to cover the dates, or also drivers who are looking for ongoing work.
If you're an experienced HGV2 / 7.5 Tonne Driver looking for well-paid weekday work with early starts and the chance of longer-term opportunities, this could be the role for you.

💷 £17.51 per hour
📅 Monday to Friday working pattern
🏦 Bank Holidays off
🚛 Holiday cover contract from 23rd November to 1st January
🚛 Potential for ongoing work following the contract
⏰ Start times between 04:00 and 07:00
⏰ Working 9-12 hour shifts
🎄 No annual leave or time off available during the contract period
🚛 What will you be doing?
You'll be completing deliveries and collections using predominantly 7.5 tonne vehicles.
• Driving mainly 7.5 tonne vehicles
• Completing approximately 5 to 6 drops and collections per shift
• Delivering mainly palletised goods
• Using a pump truck where required
• FLT-assisted loading and unloading at some customer locations
• Completing vehicle checks and delivery paperwork
• Providing a professional and customer-focused service
👌 Who are we looking for?
We're looking for reliable and experienced drivers who can represent the client professionally throughout this busy peak period.
You'll need:
✅ Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
✅ Valid Driver CPC qualification
✅ Digital Tachograph Card
✅ Minimum 2 years driving experience
✅ Good understanding of drivers' hours and road transport legislation
✅ Professional and customer-focused approach
