Assistant Accountant - Hybrid working

A fantastic new Assistant Accountant role has arisen for a growing business based in central Reading. We are seeking an AAT student looking to progress and develop their accounting skills within a fast-paced organisation. 

Key duties of the Assistant Accountant will include:

• Processing accounts payable and receivable invoices.
• Reconciling customer and supplier accounts.
• Performing daily bank reconciliations.
• Contacting customers to ensure timely payments for invoices.
• Posting journals.
• Accruals & prepayments.
• Balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assisting with audit queries.

 
Skills and experience required include: 

• Actively studying AAT qualifications.
• Sound foundation of accounting knowledge such as debits & credits.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a good team player.
• Prior experience of working within an accounting role.
• Intermediate Excel skills.
