Finance Manager - Remote

Sheridan Maine is delighted to represent our esteemed Bristol-based client in their search for a Finance Manager to cover a 1-year Fixed-Term Contract for maternity leave. This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned finance professional looking to take on a pivotal role within a dynamic organisation. The successful candidate will have the chance to work fully remote if desired, while contributing significantly to the finance function.
 
Responsibilities of the Finance Manager will include:

• Prepare monthly management accounts and consolidation, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Present monthly financial reports to senior management, providing insights and analysis to support decision-making.
• Take ownership of financial data both internally and externally, maintaining integrity and compliance.
• Collaborate with external stakeholders to facilitate the timely delivery of financial statements and support financial audits.
• Handle month-end journal processing efficiently and accurately.
• Engage in ad hoc project work to support the finance team and wider business objectives.

 
The successful Finance Manager will require:

• An accountancy qualification (ACCA/ACA/CIMA) or qualified by experience.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Experience of using ERP systems, Sage Intacct preferred.
