Sheridan Maine are seeking a part-time
Senior Tax Accountant for our key client based on the outskirts of Southampton, Hampshire. In this key role you will lead the tax compliance and reporting activities, ensuring that all regulatory obligations are met, while building excellent relationships with key stakeholders, including HMRC and external auditors.
What You’ll Do:- Manage the submission of Corporation Tax, VAT, and returns in line with legislation and deadlines.
- Oversee tax disclosures in year-end accounts, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and accounting standards.
- Collaborate with Payroll and HR on employment tax matters as needed.
- Ensure robust documentation and controls are in place for all tax-related matters, maintaining compliance with Senior Accounting Officer legislation.
- Develop and manage a direct report, fostering their professional growth.
What We’re Looking For:- ACA, ATT, or CTA qualification with 2+ years of post-qualification experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Broad knowledge and understanding of Corporation Tax, VAT and the commercial business environment.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret and resolve inconsistencies in financial data.
