Sheridan Maine is delighted to be working with a successful and well-established accountancy firm based in West London, who are seeking an experienced Accounts & Tax Manager to join their team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a confident and client-focused individual to take ownership of a varied portfolio of clients, providing high-quality accounting and tax services while playing an important role in the continued growth and success of the practice.

The role

Reporting to the partners, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients and overseeing the delivery of accounts, tax and advisory services.

Your key responsibilities as the Accounts & Tax Manager will include:

• Managing a diverse portfolio of clients across a range of sectors
• Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders
• Overseeing personal and corporation tax compliance work
• Reviewing tax computations and ensuring deadlines are met
• Acting as the main point of contact for clients, providing advice and building strong relationships
• Identifying opportunities to add value through proactive advice and support
• Reviewing work completed by junior team members and providing guidance where required
• Supporting the development and improvement of internal processes and procedures
• Working closely with partners and senior stakeholders on client matters
  
  

The successful Accounts & Tax Manager will have:

• Previous experience working within an accountancy practice environment
• Strong technical knowledge across accounts and taxation
• Experience managing a portfolio of clients
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build trusted client relationships
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
• Experience supervising or mentoring junior team members
• ACA/ACCA qualified, part-qualified or qualified by experience
