Sheridan Maine is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of an established accountancy practice based in Central London. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Audit & Accounts Semi Senior to join a professional and supportive team, gaining valuable experience across both audit and accounts assignments.

The position offers a varied workload, working with a diverse portfolio of clients across different sectors. You will have the opportunity to develop your technical knowledge, build client relationships and progress your career within a collaborative practice environment.


Key responsibilities of the Audit & Accounts Semi Senior will include:

• Assisting with audit assignments from planning through to completion.
• Preparing statutory accounts for a range of clients, including limited companies and owner-managed businesses.
• Supporting the preparation of corporation tax computations and returns.
• Preparing working papers and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting and auditing standards.
• Liaising with clients to obtain financial information and resolve queries.
• Working closely with senior colleagues to ensure assignments are completed accurately and within deadlines.
• Assisting with management accounts and other ad hoc accounting assignments as required.
  
  

The successful Audit & Accounts Semi Senior will have:

• Previous experience in audit and accounts within a UK accountancy practice (minimum of 2 years).
• Be studying towards ACA or ACCA qualifications, or looking to commence professional studies.
• A good understanding of accounting principles and audit procedures.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and the confidence to liaise with clients.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines.
• A proactive attitude and willingness to develop professionally.
