School Site Manager - Plymouth
Working a 37 hour week, with an hourly pay rate of £11.61 - £11.97.

The main purpose of this role will be to be responsible for the property management of the school, including a wide range of duties and responsibilities for maintaining the fabric and grounds of the school.
You will liaise closely with the Headteacher and School Business Manager in identify and managing school priorities and effective management of the site.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the following;

" Carrying out day to day repairs as identified by yourself or other staff. Prioritising those most urgent.
" Daily checks of the school fabric, grounds, décor and cleanliness
" To monitor and input into the school Asset Management Plan to prioritise improvements to the school fabric, and advising on a rolling programme for repair and redecoration.
" To obtain quotes for work to be carried out, as appropriate.
" To liaise with contractors and monitor performance.
" To assist in preparing documentation for bids and tenders.
" Maintaining Site Log Book, and ensuring compliance with statutory obligations are fulfilled and recorded accordingly.
" Ensure works are undertaken efficiently and effectively to ensure site is maintained to a high standards.
" Responsible for the security of the premises, liaising with security company, police, or other agencies as appropriate.
" Ensure unlocking and locking for staff and lettings is arranged as required all year round.
" Ensure school is compliant in respect of security devices, fire appliances, CCTV systems and alarms, and all checks are recorded.
" Ensure regular fire alarm tests are carried out, timed and recorded. Ensure intruder alarms and emergency lighting are tested and recorded.
" Ensure cleanliness of the school is maintained to a high standard, through daily checks.
" Ensure all cleaning products are stored correctly and all COSSH requirements are adhered to.
" To plan programme of deep cleans throughout the year as appropriate e.g. polishing of school hall, cleaning of food technology room.
" To arrange removal of all waste, refuse and surplus material.
" Ensure PAT testing of all electrical equipment is carried out on a yearly basis, and accurate records kept.
" To take regular meter readings to monitor energy usage.
" To monitor and replenish cleaning and repair equipment, placing orders and managing budget.
" Ensure routine maintenance service checks are carried out on all serviceable equipment such as boilers, fire fighting equipment, lightning conductors etc, and all such checks are recorded.
" Arrange and monitor routine contractors such as gardening contractors and window cleaners.
" Ensure compliance with current legislation, and accurate and up to date records maintained, including maintaining the Site Log Book.
" Provide safe access on the school grounds in snow and ice through dispersal of grit/salt. Ensure stock levels are maintained.
" Carry out regular Health & Safety inspections, COSHH Assessments, Risk Assessments.
" To line manage team of cleaners, ensuring all work carried out to a high standard.
