We're looking for dedicated individuals to join us as Recycling Assistants to contribute to our mission!

Position: Recycling Assistant
Pay Rate: £12.18 per hour (Standard) / £15.23 per hour (Sundays)
Hours: 8:00 am - 6:00 pm (On a seven week rotating rota)
Location: Plymouth, PL9

About the Role:
As a Recycling Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our recycling operations.
Your responsibilities will include directing vehicles, handling recyclable materials, and ensuring a clean and efficient working environment.
Previous experience in manual handling is essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:
Working collaboratively within a team to direct vehicles to designated bays and efficiently unload waste.
Performing litter picking and sweeping tasks to maintain cleanliness, tidiness, and debris-free work areas.
Engaging in substantial manual handling duties, ensuring tasks are executed safely and effectively.
Being prepared to work outdoors in various weather conditions and possessing a good level of physical fitness.
Adhering to all health and safety regulations.
Operating in a fast-paced environment while delivering high-quality customer service to the public and colleagues.
Demonstrating motivation and a team-oriented approach.
Providing excellent customer service to members of the public.

Requirements:
Previous manual handling experience / outdoor working will be required.
Previous council/local authority work is advantageous however not essential. 
Ability to work on a seven-week rotating rota, including weekends.
Good physical fitness and stamina.
Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
