Part Time School Catering Assistant

Hours: 15 hours per week
Days: Monday to Friday (Term Time Only)
Core Hours: 9:00 am to 2:00 pm
Hourly Rate: £11.79 per hour
Required: Previous/recent catering or hospitality experience
Location: Plymouth PL6

Type: Temporary Part-Time, expected to run until the end of June possible extension until July 2024.

Job Overview:
We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to join the school team as Catering Assistants.
As a vital part of the team, you will play a key role in providing nutritious meals to support the well-being and development of our students.

Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation and serving of meals in accordance with dietary guidelines and health standards.
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
Support the catering team in ensuring the smooth operation of daily activities.
Interact positively with students, staff, and parents, fostering a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.

Requirements:
Previous experience in a catering or kitchen environment is essential.
Reliable and able to work independently or as part of a team.
Enhanced DBS clearance is required (cost covered by Pertemps).
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Flexibility to adapt to the dynamic needs of the school environment.
