Our logistics client in Marston Gate, Ridgmont, requires an accredited Forklift Truck Driver with a Reach Licence for their busy and fast-paced warehouse operation. The role does involve fifty percent manual handling work as a Warehouse Operative picking cases, all paid at the FLT rate. This will be approximately one months work, starting end of August/beginning September.

The shift is Monday to Friday, 2pm-10pm plus obligatory overtime when required. This is requested the day before for a 10am or 12 noon start. Pay is £8.92 per hour, 37.5 hours paid per week.

The FLTs are diesel and do not have cameras so you must be able to safely operate them at height. Accuracy and attention to detail is important to prevent damage to stock.

Your FLT Licence MUST be ITSSAR or RTITB accredited, be dated within the last three years and you must be prepared to get your FLT licence refreshed when necessary. You must have a minimum of 6 months recent experience driving the Reach FLT. A practical and theory FLT driving test will be conducted on-site before you can operate the FLT.

As an FLT Driver/Warehouse Operative for this warehouse your duties will include:

FLT Reach driving
Working in a busy warehouse and logistics environment
Loading and unloading high-value goods
Replenishing products for the line
Manual handling (as dictated by the warehouse requirements)
Keeping stock stacked in a safe and organised manner
Completing paperwork and checking stock delivered
Working efficiently and effectively as part of a team
Maintaining high levels of Health and Safety
Achieving the targets and job standards set out by the Shift Manager
Being adaptable and flexible in your approach to work
Performing any reasonable request by the Shift Manager

The ideal candidate will hold the following skills and attributes:

Excellent numeracy and literacy skills
Ability to drive MHE and perform manual handling safely
Ability to work under pressure
Ability to work as part of a team and on your own
Good attention to detail
