Our expanding logistics client in Marston Gate, Ridgmont, require two accredited Forklift Truck Drivers with a REACH Forklift Licence for their busy and fast-paced warehouse operation. These positions start immediately and could lead to a permanent job for the right applicant.
The shift pattern is Monday to Friday, 2pm-10pm, plus obligatory overtime when required.
The standard pay rate is £8.92 per hour. 37.5 hours plus overtime worked paid per week for the first twelve weeks, 40 hours per week plus overtime thereafter.
The Trucks are mainly diesel and do not have cameras so you must be able to safely operate them at height. Accuracy and attention to detail is important.
Your FLT Licence MUST be ITSSAR, AITT or RTITB accredited, have been taken/refreshed within the last three years and you must be prepared to keep your licence in date. You must have a minimum of 6 months recent experience driving a Reach truck. A practical and theory forklift test will be conducted on-site before you can operate the MHE.
As an FLT Driver for this warehouse your duties will include:
FLT Reach driving
Working in a busy warehouse and logistics environment
Loading and unloading high-value goods, manually and using the forklift truck
Manual handling (as dictated by the warehouse requirements)
Keeping stock stacked in a safe and organised manner
Completing paperwork and checking stock delivered
Working efficiently and effectively as part of a team
Maintaining high levels of Health and Safety
Achieving the targets and job standards set out by the Shift Manager
Being adaptable and flexible in your approach to work
Performing any reasonable request by the Shift Manager
The ideal candidate will hold the following skills and attributes:
Excellent numeracy and literacy skills
Ability to drive MHE and perform manual handling safely
Ability to work under pressure
Ability to work as part of a team and on your own
Good attention to detail
Reliable and polite
Please note that this site is not accessible by bus but Ridgmont train station is a short walk away. You would need to check the train timetable for your location and shift pattern. The site has its' own parking for car and motorbike drivers.
