Job Description
Our client a leading, secialist engineering company in Sussex. They are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist (Lathe) to join their team in Uckfield.
Key Responsibilities:

- Produce components from single pieces to large batches with high precision and accuracy.
- Set up and operate CNC lathes and sliding head machines, ordering and preparing appropriate tooling as required.
- Conduct first-off and final inspections on your own work and that of other team members.
- Perform general machine maintenance and clean, strip down, and tidy machines after use.
- Adhere to 5S principles and maintain a clean, safe, and organized workshop.
- Create change request forms for any component alterations or additions.
- Complete ad-hoc tasks as directed by the line manager.
- Take reasonable care of your own health and safety and that of others, in line with company policies.
- Proven experience setting and operating sliding head and CNC lathes (Fanuc systems).
- Ability to read, interpret, and work from technical drawings.
- Strong knowledge of dimensional measurement and control.
- Familiarity with different raw materials and bar-feeding equipment.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively independently or within a small team.
