Stores Lead – Crawley

We are recruiting for an experienced and organised Stores Lead to oversee the daily operations of a busy stores department in Crawley.

Role OverviewThe Stores Lead will be responsible for managing stock control, goods in/out, and ensuring the stores function runs efficiently. This is a hands-on role requiring strong organisation, attention to detail, and the ability to lead by example in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day running of the stores operation.
  
  
• Oversee goods receiving, checking, and storage processes.
  
  
• Maintain accurate inventory records and stock control systems.
  
  
• Issue materials and equipment in line with business needs.
  
  
• Conduct regular stock checks and support audit processes.
  
  
• Ensure the stores area is clean, safe, and compliant with health and safety standards.
  
  
• Work closely with internal teams to ensure stock availability and operational efficiency.
  
  
• Support and guide team members where required.
  
  

Requirements

• Previous experience in a stores, warehouse, or stock control role.
  
  
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
  
  
• Good attention to detail and accuracy.
  
  
• Confident using stock systems or basic IT tools.
  
  
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of the role.
  
  
• Leadership or supervisory experience is advantageous.
  
  

Desirable

• Experience in a fast-paced or industrial environment.
  
  
• Knowledge of health and safety procedures within a warehouse/stores setting.
