Job Position : junior estimator Job Location : Milton Keynes Salary : 20-23,500 depending on experience Compulsory requirements: must have a driving licence and complete a criminal record check, Must have 3 years experience working within the facilities management sector. Job Purpose The Commercial team within provides a commercial management service to a number of departments including, Projects / Life Cycle and Service Charge departments, covering all operational expenditure. The Commercial team administers contracts and manages the impact of new requirements, capital projects and contract variations. The Commercial team is responsible for ensuring that: The operational budget is accurate and achieved, financial commitments, risks and opportunities are managed, monitored and forecast effectively, all expenditure offers value for money and is instructed on acceptable terms and conditions, and all contracts, agreements, instructions and variations are administered in accordance with their terms and conditions and the corporate governance framework. The Estimating Assistant is responsible for supporting the business achieve these objectives by supporting the Estimating Team Leader with the day to day operations of the Estimation Team. Key Tasks & Responsibilities • Generation and issuance of quotes for additional works in line with company procedures and customer KPIs • Ensuring deadlines are tracked and met • Ensure correct value for money criteria is met • Liaise with customers to ensure requirements are set and agreed • Review supply chain quotations to ensure correctness and suitability for works • Ensure the maximisation level of self-delivery is achieved • Liaise with operational teams to ensure works are delivered in line with agreed timescales Education and Training Professional License or Certificate requirements Knowledge and Experience • Strong communication skills both written and oral • Attention to detail • Good problem solving skills • Good knowledge of Excel • Pro-active approach • Strong organisation skills • Ability to prioritise against strict deadlines
