Monday – Thursday: 07:00 – 16:00
Friday: 07:00 – 12:00

We are currently recruiting for a Woodworking Machine Operator / Furniture Manufacturing Operative to join a well-established manufacturing company based in Worcester, Blackpole.
This is a great opportunity for someone with previous experience within woodworking, furniture manufacturing, joinery, kitchen manufacturing or a similar production environment who is looking for a long-term role with the potential to become permanent.
About the CompanyThe company manufactures a wide range of bespoke worktops and work surfaces for customers across engineering, manufacturing, laboratories and electronics.

Products include:
  • Wooden and hardwood worktops
    • Laminate and compact worktops
    • Steel and stainless-steel work surfaces
    • Anti-static (ESD) worktops
    • Heavy-duty surfaces for engineering and manufacturing environments
Key Responsibilities
  • Operating woodworking and cutting machinery, including beam saw equipment
    • Cutting timber, laminate and other materials to required measurements
    • Measuring and positioning materials correctly before cutting
    • Following job sheets, cutting lists and basic drawings
    • Checking finished products for quality and accuracy
    • Handling and moving materials around the production area
    • Wrapping finished products and preparing them for dispatch
    • Assisting with assembly and general manufacturing duties
    • Keeping machinery and the work area clean and safe
    • Supporting other production areas when required
Requirements
  • Previous experience within woodworking, furniture manufacturing, joinery, kitchen manufacturing or a similar production environment
    • Experience using saws, cutting machines or woodworking machinery would be advantageous
    • Beam saw experience is desirable but not essential
    • Comfortable using measurements and working accurately
    • Good attention to detail
    • Reliable and punctual
    • Able to work effectively as part of a team
    • Good understanding of health and safety within a manufacturing environment
