Intervention Tutors needed for secondary schools in Greater Manchester
Your role is to:
Assist in the support of PP and other underachieving students within a mainstream setting. In order to maximise their opportunities to learn and improve their levels of achievement.
Regularly manage and deliver individual/small group teaching (using specific area of expertise) planned independently/with the teacher.
Foster positive relationships with students
Work with the teachers to identify gaps in selected individual's learning and develop appropriate strategies to close these gaps
Deliver high quality support/teaching that will promote student wellbeing by encouraging relationships based on mutual respect and by developing self-reliance and self-esteem.
Use area of expertise (whether Maths, English or Science initiative and professional judgement in relation to student learning, operating independently within agreed framework
Provide support for staff by sharing own knowledge and expertise
Prepare differentiated resources for individual students/small groups
Contribute to planned delivery, monitoring, assessment and reporting cycle in line with school
Maintain records of progress, assist with writing of IEP reports, analyse progress data and contribute to reviews.
This is a key time of the year when children are working towards GCSE exams and end of year tests.
