SEBD TAs required ASAP
We are looking for an experienced TA for a primary schools in South Manchester. For the right calibre of candidate, this could lead to a permanent employment opportunity.
It is vital that you have referenceable experience of working with SEBD primary aged children.
The qualifying criteria that all candidates must be able demonstrate during the interview process is the following:
At least 2 years experience of working successfully with students and the confidence to work across key stages KS1-KS2
Working successfully with students who have social, emotional and behavioural difficulties and are often hard to reach.
Experience of working with students supporting and boosting levels in Literacy and Numeracy.
Good working knowledge and understanding of child development and learning processes, and in particular, barriers to learning Experience of using a range of strategies to influence individual and group behaviour
A commitment to the safeguarding of students
A belief in inclusion and education for all
The personal and desired attributes for the role are:
Evidence of attendance at relevant CPD to update knowledge, skills and qualities integral to the role.
Working knowledge of relevant policies/codes of practice/legislation
Accredited Team Teach practitioner (or equivalent crisis management accreditation)
Ability to plan lessons and effective intervention actions for students at risk of underachieving.
High expectations both personally and for students
Energy, enthusiasm and commitment
Positive, Calm and resilient in the face of challenging situations
Ability to defuse situations with humour and distraction techniques
Full UK driving licence
