SIMS administrator required for a large primary school
We are currently recruiting for a SIMS administrator to cover for a sickness. This is short term but could become more long term for the right candidate.
Purpose of Post:
To be committed to the highest expectations and "learning without limits";
To aid the Headteacher and staff in the smooth running of the school. Duties & Responsibilities: Under the day-to-day direction of the School Business Manager and Headteacher, provide administrative support to the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team;
To be responsible for and lead on the administration of SIMS, Admissions, the Pupil Census and Attendance;
To provide SIMS reports as required by the Headteacher, Staff, LA and DfE.
Attendance: To maintain accurate and up to date attendance/lateness records both manually and electronically and to ensure ongoing monitoring of attendance for all children to promote good attendance across the school;
Admissions/Transfer : Be responsible for the admissions process for the whole school, in liaison with Manchester Council Admissions including Reception intake, mid-year admissions, Year 6 transfers and leavers; To be fully aware, understand and apply the criteria for admission of pupils to the school;
Maintain and operate parent communication systems (i.e. SIMS InTouch) and ensure contact details are up to date; Maintain records of pupils on free school meals for the school; Manage pupils' filing system of the school; and produce SIMS reports for Governors as directed by the Headteacher;
