Learning Support Assistant
Learning Support Assistant required to work on a 1-2-1 basis with children in a PRU. You will be responsible for supporting during lessons, creating engagement strategies, providing break out activities and overall for ensuring that the child makes a connection with the learning required at school level. You will have a track record of working with children who are experiencing barriers to learning and who can sometimes be reluctant to participate in whole of school life. You will have a patient and constructive approach to learning and above all be an ear to listen to them when needed. This is a worthwhile and rewarding role for the right person. This good setting is an easy commute from Dudley, Tipton, Oldbury, Halesowen, Walsall and Birmingham.
You will be:-
- Teaching Assistant, Learning Mentor or Learning Support Assistant
- Able to demonstrate a minimum of six months working at school level
- Happy to work in a PRU
- Used to being creative, innovative and fun in the classroom
- Happy to work with children and young adults with barriers to learning
- Looking for a rewarding career in an SEND setting
