Job Details

To manager our clients payroll operations, ensuring that each stage of the payroll process is properly actioned, that all staff are paid correctly, that correct payments are made and appropriate information provided to our clients HMRC and other statutory and pension scheme bodies.

Payroll
Process and submit over 200 monthly, four weekly, bi-weekly and weekly payroll
Responsible for creating, maintaining and updating payroll processes
Deal with employers salary and payroll queries
Maintain and update payroll data as per business requirements
Enter variable overtime and commission and expense payments
Liaise with revenue and customs where necessary
Chase client for missing information where necessary
Update all statutory payments as appropriate is SSP, SMP, SPP, SAP,
Submit all TRI Returns to HMRC
Speaking to new and existing clients on the telephone, explaining how to complete duties and tasks regarding auto enrolment
Chasing client who are non-complaint

Key Skills and competency Requirements
Experience of using star payroll Professional is advantageous, however, extensive experience of a computerised payroll system is essential.
Knowledge of revenue and customs current legislation e.g. NI rates, Statutory payments etc.
Strong MS outlook, Excel and Word skills are essential.
Flexibility with hours and peak periods of work is essential

As a payroll manager the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the outsourced payroll function for over 200 clients. This varies between monthly, weekly and bi-monthly payroll cycles. In order to be considered for the position, the ideal candidate will come from a bureau background and have an understanding of the requirements payroll demands within public practice. The working hours are 9.00am - 16:45 Monday to Friday.
