Pertemps Kettering are recruiting on behalf of our Kettering based client as part of their succession planning strategy. The client is seeking to recruit a Logistics Team Leader Designate - to understudy the current Logistics Team Leader in preparation for managing the Logistics team in 2019.
The main responsibilities of the role will be:
To lead and inspire the sales/admin team for the sale of the clients test equipment and consumables to a global market, and the parts/materials buying function
To ensure the smooth and correct translation of orders into the 'Factory Master' system
To ensure appropriate works orders and purchase orders are raised for the procurement and manufacture of new parts for assembly, spares and consumables
To develop the 'quality consumable' business
To liaise with the production team leader and technical team leader regarding delivery times and provision of appropriate documentation and regulatory compliance
Candidates must have experience of operating in an engineering manufacturing environment, office management experience, good organizational skills and experience of leading a team of sales administrators and purchasing staff. Highly numerate, the successful candidate will be able to operate Access systems to a high degree of competency and be able to produce sales/production statistics. The successful candidate will be able to plan workloads, have a comprehensive understanding of costings and knowledge of shipping and customs procedures. The ability to demonstrate excellent team working and leadership skills is essential.
Knowledge of MRP systems and input into departmental planning and strategy is desirable.
Customer focus, time management, prioritisation, and a 'can-do attitude' are key requisites of the role.
