Pertemps Kettering are recruiting on behalf of our client a Transport Coordinator to assist with the smooth and efficient day to day running of the Transport Office. To adhere to all company policy and procedures. To ensure that routes depart/arrive as per status boards.
Thorough daily briefings and de-briefings of all drivers (including agency drivers).
Update route VISION systems.
Familiarise yourself with all legal Company requirements, policies and division procedures and ensure compliance.
Provide flexible cover to support the department.
Ensure departure/arrival/EU boards are kept up to date, highlighting all early and late departures to Operations Shift manager and colleagues.
Tachograph control for issue and return from drivers.
Routes leaving at agreed departure times.
Ensure drivers follow SCW procedures, escalating via chain of command any occurrence that could result in charges being raise against The client.
Ensure trailer checks are published at the required times.
Updating status board with the appropriate data.
All units fitted with trackers are on correct route.
Maintain contact with all live route drivers running late/agency driver.
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Problem Solving Skills
Excellent Communication Skills
Basic Knowledge of Road Traffic Legislation
Sound Knowledge of Drivers' Hours Legislation
Flexible - Overtime / holiday & sickness cover.
Good Telephone Manner
Ability to work under pressure & to deadlines
Hours of work are:
Monday to Friday 14.00-22.00
