Document Controller 
Location: Exeter, Devon

We are seeking an organised and proactive Document Controller to join a sucessful team in Exeter. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a leading construction business, supporting the successful delivery of prestigious projects across the South West.
As Document Controller, you will play a vital role in ensuring project information is managed accurately and efficiently throughout the project lifecycle. Working closely with project managers, site teams, consultants and subcontractors, you will ensure all documentation is correctly controlled, distributed and maintained in line with company procedures.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain all project documentation throughout the lifecycle of multiple construction projects.
    • Upload, distribute and control drawings, specifications and technical documentation using electronic document management systems.
    • Ensure all documentation is correctly version controlled, filed and archived.
    • Monitor document workflows and ensure information is issued promptly to the relevant project stakeholders.
    • Maintain registers for drawings, RFIs, technical submissions and project correspondence.
    • Provide document control support to project teams and assist with system administration where required.
    • Prepare project documentation for handover, ensuring records are complete and accurate.
    • Ensure document control processes comply with company procedures and client requirement
    • Visting local sites regulaty 
    • Asisting with genenal meeting and greeting clients to the office and general administration support 
About You To be successful in this role, you will be highly organised, have exceptional attention to detail and thrive in a fast-paced construction environment.
You will ideally have:
  • Previous experience as a Document Controller within the construction, engineering or built environment sector.
    • Experience using document management systems such as Viewpoint or similar.
    • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Outlook and Word.
    • Excellent organisational and administration skills.
    • Strong communication skills with the ability to build effective working relationships across project teams.
    • A proactive, methodical approach with excellent attention to detail.
    • The ability to manage multiple priorities while working both independently and as part of a team.
