Architect £28k - £35k, Romsey

An Architect is required for one of South England’s leading Architectural practices. This is a chance to join a practice that has two offices and employ over 70 staff making them a leading architectural practice in the South East.

As the Architect your role will involve working on Urban Design, Master planning, and Residential projects. The role will be based in the planning team and will see you take ownership of projects through the planning stages. There will also be an expectation for you to be managing and assisting a junior team.

You’ll be offered flexible working hours between 8 AM and 6 PM, and regularly be offered incentives from BBQ’s on a Friday to trips to Alton Towers. This practice offers progression opportunities through a clear path as well as constantly recognising staff’s outstanding performances.

A successful candidate must be able to demonstrate planning knowledge with AutoCAD, as well as being able to produce technical and accurate planning drawings.

The Role: Architect

  • Preparation of detailed drawings, layouts and planning applications
  • Production of housing and retirement care layouts
  • Utilising latest 3D software and 3D visualisations
  • Assisting Senior staff with ongoing projects and overseeing junior staff with ongoing projects
 The Candidate: Architect
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency using AutoCAD, SketchUp and Photoshop
  • Strong planning ability and knowledge
  • Relevant experience working with Residential projects or Housing Developer’s
  • Having a relevant qualification in Architecture or Construction related would be favourable for this position although other paths will also be considered
