Trainee / Graduate Engineer

Opportunity for civil engineering or mechanical degree/HND/HNC qualified engineering candidate to join the Northamptonshire based design department of an international company that has offices throughout the world and has been established for over 80 years. 

You will use your engineering understanding to produce scheme designs using their bespoke construction/ structural engineering equipment that are used in temporary works design in some of the largest projects in the UK. 
Initially you will be taught to understand engineering drawings from clients, then create solutions of how best to build the structure using their extensive range of engineering equipment. You will then be involved in draughting construction drawings and liaising with the warehouse to ensure the correct equipment gets delivered to site.

This is an interesting opportunity for a fresh graduate or someone who has recently completed engineering orientated higher education to join the construction engineering market. You will get the chance to experience design, estimation, project management and get the opportunity to go to site to see your design in practice. 

You will have studied a related discipline like civil engineering / structural engineering / mechanical engineering / architecture / construction management or building surveying and also have learnt some AutoCAD and how to read engineering drawings. Understanding of statics and dynamics engineering would be highly desirable.
