Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior FF&E Designer to join our client, a reputable London-based interiors consultancy that designs and delivers prestigious hospitality and high-end residential projects internationally. The successful candidate will bring a minimum of eight years of industry experience, particularly within the hospitality, restaurant, or luxury residential sectors, and will have a proven track record of leading small to medium-sized projects or contributing to larger, complex developments as part of a multidisciplinary team.

The ideal applicant will possess exceptional design sensibility, refined aesthetic judgment, and advanced technical expertise. Extensive FF&E knowledge is essential, along with experience managing projects through every stage of the design process, from initial concept development to final installation on site. Candidates should also be comfortable working closely with procurement consultants, overseeing the sourcing, specification, and delivery of furnishings, fixtures, and equipment throughout the project lifecycle.

In this role, you will play a key part in shaping the creative direction of projects by developing innovative design concepts and contributing original ideas. You will be responsible for sourcing, selecting, and specifying FF&E elements across a range of project types, including hotels, restaurants, and luxury residences. Working collaboratively with the wider design team, you will help establish design narratives, material palettes, and overall project vision while preparing presentation materials, mood boards, and sample schemes featuring finishes, fabrics, furniture, and accessories.

The position requires the preparation of detailed FF&E specifications and documentation, as well as the design of bespoke furniture pieces and the production of associated technical drawings when required. You will be involved in budget development and management, supporting procurement teams with value engineering exercises and quantity assessments for furniture, fabrics, and public areas. Additionally, you will oversee project control samples, review shop drawings, monitor manufactured items, and ensure all FF&E deliverables are coordinated accurately within the wider design package.

Regular communication with clients, consultants, suppliers, and contractors will be an important aspect of the role. You will attend site meetings, participate in presentations, and may occasionally travel internationally to support project delivery. Staying informed of emerging materials, suppliers, and industry trends will also be expected, alongside mentoring and supporting junior members of the FF&E team.

Applicants should demonstrate proficiency in AutoCAD, Photoshop, InDesign, Spec Sources, and Spec Designer. Strong communication, organisational, and time management skills are essential, together with a proactive and inquisitive mindset.

If this sounds like a suitable opportunity for you, then we would love to hear from you with your CV and portfolio of work.
