Location: Lambeth, South London
Pay: £95–£110 per day (PAYE options available)

Our education recruitment agency is working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Lambeth to recruit a dedicated Reception / Year 1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils within the school's specialist Autism Resource Base.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience supporting children with Autism (ASC/ASD) or other Special Educational Needs, or for graduates looking to build a career in education, psychology, speech and language therapy, or child development. The Role
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for Reception and Year 1 pupils with Autism.
- Support children's communication, social interaction and emotional regulation.
- Deliver sensory and play-based learning activities.
- Implement visual timetables, PECS, Makaton or other communication strategies where appropriate.
- Work closely with teachers, the SENCO and therapists to deliver personalised learning programmes.
- Encourage independence, confidence and positive behaviour throughout the school day.
- Support personal care where required.
- Experience working with children with Autism or SEN in a school, nursery or care setting.
- Patient, resilient and nurturing approach.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Understanding of EYFS and KS1 is desirable.
- Relevant qualifications (Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent) are advantageous but not essential.
- Graduates in Psychology, Education or related subjects are encouraged to apply.
