Pertemps are currently recruiting for 2X Litigation Co-ordinators to join a Network Damage Claims team!

Our client manages a large power network across the region and plays an important role in delivering a safe, reliable, and efficient service to millions of customers. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a busy and supportive team, helping to recover costs associated with damage to network assets.

This role is offered on a temporary-to-permanent basis, with the opportunity to move into a permanent position subject to performance and business requirements.

The Role

As a Litigation Co-ordinator, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of network damage claims and public liability invoices, working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to progress claims from initial notification through to resolution.

You will use your communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills to investigate claims, resolve disputes, recover costs, and provide excellent service to customers and third parties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of network damage claims and public liability invoices ranging from £100 to £1 million+.
    • Review repair activities and ensure all recoverable costs are identified and accurately recorded.
    • Communicate technical information clearly to customers and third parties.
    • Handle queries and disputes from solicitors, insurers, loss adjusters, utilities, local authorities, contractors, and members of the public.
    • Produce professional written correspondence, including letters and emails.
    • Manage telephone enquiries and provide updates on claim progress.
    • Liaise with engineers, contractors, and operational teams to establish details of damage incidents and repair works.
    • Progress claims effectively and escalate matters to external legal providers where required.
    • Build and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders.
    • Attend meetings with third parties and their representatives when required.
    • Ensure claims are handled in line with legal protocols, company procedures, and health and safety requirements.
    • Support and assist new team members where required.
    • Provide regular updates and reports on outstanding claims.
    • Process third-party invoice payments over the phone.
    • Provide additional support to the wider team, including call overflow assistance.

The successful candidate will have:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Strong attention to detail and the ability to make informed decisions.
    • Excellent planning and organisational skills.
    • Experience working in administration, business support, claims, or customer service.
    • The ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
    • Confidence dealing with customers, including handling difficult or challenging conversations.
    • Strong IT skills, including experience using Microsoft Word and Excel.
    • The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Essential Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 A Levels (or equivalent).
    • Previous experience in administration, customer service, claims handling, complaints, or business support.

Desirable Experience:

Experience or knowledge in the following areas would be beneficial
  • Claims management or legal processes.
    • Energy, utilities, or network repair environments.
    • Case management systems.
    • Coaching or mentoring colleagues.
    • Industry legislation and guidance, including NRSWA, HSE requirements, Limitation and Latent Damage Acts, and ESQCR 2002.
    • Systems such as OMS, Solcase, GIS, or Oracle.
