Local Authority Facilities Management, Head of FM and Compliance, North London 
Pay rate c. £400 per day rate

We are recruiting for an experienced Local Authority Head of FM and Compliance in North London 
Details 

• To act as the Council’s lead officer for Statutory Building Compliance, ensuring all corporate, school, and community assets meet health and safety, fire, and water hygiene regulations. 
  To lead the strategic and operational delivery of Facilities Management (FM) services, overseeing a large multi-disciplinary team comprising both technical Hard FM and frontline Soft FM services. 
  To provide professional leadership for a hybrid delivery model, managing high-value external contracts alongside significant self-delivered services including Cleaning, Security, and Catering. 
  To serve as the primary technical interface for property-related services commissioned by the AD Property & Asset Strategy, ensuring FM delivery aligns with the broader Asset Management Strategy. 
  To support the Assistant Director in the development of long-term capital maintenance and life-cycle replacement strategies to ensure the resilience of the corporate estate. 

Experience needed 

• Hard and Soft FM 

• Statutory Compliance 

• Supporting implementation of the new FM Service Structure. 

• Experience of working in a Local Authorities environment is essential 

 
 
This is a contract role and you will need to have experience in a similar role in a Local Authority setting.
