Children’s Social Worker, Fostering, Supervising Social Worker, Wigan 
Pay rate £35 per hour 
Contract role, Supervising Social Worker 
 
We are recruiting for experienced Children’s Social Worker in the Wigan area. 

• This is to work as a supervising social worker in fostering, to complete full assessments and supervise foster carers.  

• To see assessments through to panel for recruited carers as well as newly approved carers following their first annual review.  

• To support recruited fostering duty team and be prepared to be officed based a few days each week.  

• To attend all relevant training and meetings, work within timescales and ensure data is compliant.  

• The teams are quite busy so the role may be used across the recruited teams to support but the main focus will be assessment and duty support.  

• Additional tasks may be requested in relation to recruitment, retention and training
